What would life in Bible Belt be like if Protestantism hadn't started?

Lots of gambling, drinking, and rowdy behavior. That essentially describes you're average good ole boy without religion to make him behave. Sounds like Paradise to me.|||Infinitely less prejudiced and intolerant than it is at the moment.

Unless provoked beyond the bounds of sanity, most Catholics tend to live and let live around their Protestant neighbors. The same thing cannot be said of fundamentalists and evangelical types who seem to think that they have the right to condemn their Catholic brothers and sisters in Christ to hell.

Life in the Bible Belt, she can be interesting at times for Catholics. I speak from experience on that topic.|||You would be going to mass everyday and paying for indulgences or they would cut your breasts off and cut your baby out of you while you were still alive as the fire branded your forehead with a pagan cross sign.

Like they did the first protestants.|||Probably much the same, except Catholic.

The South was not settled by those seeking religious freedom. Those colonies were set up as economic ventures.|||Catholic Hicks?|||There'd be a lot more moon shine!!
