Why did God create the asteroid belt, if it only threatens life on Earth?

The belt doesn't threaten Earth, Asteroids do. But God can easily decide when he wants one to hit Earth.|||Jupiter鈥檚 gravity also protects us. Long-period comets enter the solar system from its outer reaches. Jupiter鈥檚 gravity slings most of these fast-moving ice balls out of the solar system before they can get close to Earth. So long-period comets are thought to strike Earth only about every 30 million years. Without Jupiter nearby, long-period comets would collide with our planet up to 1000 times more frequently.

While the Sun gravitationally pulls the asteroids inward, the gravitational pull of Jupiter is pulling the asteroids outward. Since the belt is closer to Jupiter than it is to the Sun, Jupiter exerts more of an influence on the asteroids. As a result, the asteroids are held in orbit away from the inner planets.|||to punish naughty ppl

[11:82]

So when Our commandment came to pass We overthrew (that township) and rained upon it stones of clay, one after another,|||A more important question is, why did god intelligently design millions of deadly microbes?|||Very, very obviously it does more than "only threaten life on Earth".

- Jim|||Nowhere in Bible Asteroid exist .|||apparently he made us bad so we would deserve punishment but he loves us too so he sent Jesus.|||To? Hold up his pants?|||that was when he sneezed.... it was an accident OK?
