Man with a Fourth Marijuana Conviction Results In Life Sentence?

http://www.newser.com/story/118123/louis…

This is what we're paying for in taxes?

I don’t know why we’re still punishing people with ridiculous sentences when it’s clear that they don’t represent a serious threat to the community. This is  Especially in a time when we’re supposed to be “tightening our belts” fiscally it just doesn’t make sense to increase the prison population.|||The private prison industry loves sucking the government teat.

Their lobby is one of the biggest for keeping pot illegal.

The more warm bodies they keep in a cage, the more cash the state gives them.

EDIT: I'm very disappointed in the conservative posters who don't believe in free markets and personal responsibility. (Not to mention those who are buying hook, line and sinker into Government Propaganda!) That's a lot of hypocrisy.

@Conservative capitalist: We do. That's exactly what the problem is.|||while i think it should be legalized, i don't feel sorry for that guy since he's obviously a gigantic idiot|||FREE CANDY = where exactly did you find that Research i'd like to know because im 100% sure you pulled that out out your azz.. Seriously comparing pot to alcohol is so off base your not even on the right field...|||Thats why we should have for profit prisions.|||"don't represent a serious threat to the community."

Pot-heads have killed many innocent people like drunk drivers have.
