As much as the film was funny, you have to imagine the filmmaker made fun of the one person you love and hold dear to you. If he had done that would you not respond negatively? Tolerance and humour need a balance. I watched it and found somethings funny (human nature aspects) but making fun of my beliefs is not acceptable. I choose not to watch that which hurts. With understanding comes tolerance and acceptance.|||because they don't have a sense of humor..|||I think the answer is quite simple. Without the bible and the life of Jesus the life of Brian would not have been able to have been made.
The whole premise of the film is built upon parodying something which a great many people take as a basis of their life (style).
Just as you may not find humour in many things so do others.
Would you find it funny if someone were to make a film parodying the life of someone you love and revere deeply? I think not.
(Oh and I have seen the film by the way before anyone starts).
