What Martial Art do you think is most effective in real-life combat?

As of now I do Judo (yellow belt) and used to do Tae Kwo Doe (stopped at high red belt)

Anyways, what do you think is best for up close brawling, fist fighting and grappling.|||Individuals win confrontations / fights...not systems. Anyone who says different either has very little training, trained for stupid reason, is a MMA fanboy wannabe or just enjoys talking about fighting but has not been in a lot of fights yet.|||Yes this question has been asked alot but for me I believe grappling is what you must know because 85-90% of fights go to the ground so if you know how to get it there and how to fight there you will be ok. I have been jumped 4 times and never hurt because of my Judo Training.

My dad taught me and he always said that everyone knows how to strike and you can land a lucky blow and learn the very basics of boxing very quick. But Learning how to take a fight to the ground and how to fight correctly on the ground is what seperates you from the average person.

He learned from my grandfather who was a marine and learned in japan after the korean war.

So any art that shows you how to take someone down and fight on the ground I feel is the best for Self defense.|||God, I get sick of this question ...

ADDED FOR THE GRAPPLERS:

A lot of real life combat deals with multiple attackers. Try throwing that Omo Plata on the guy you're wallowing on the ground with while someone else is putting the boot to your noggin.

Just something to think about.|||from what ive heard, yes jiujitsu is an exelent ma for grappling and has an exellent advantage, whenever some1 throws a fist u can arm lock quickly for suprise and take it to the gound! since ur also lookin 4 fist combt jiujitsu teaches that too|||Krav Maga and Muay Thai, ground grappling isn't smart in real life situations unless its like stand up grappling such as clinching.|||if you want close up then krav maga would be good and the filipino martial art kali or also called eskrima and ground fighting would be judo|||Gee... This questing hasn't been asked 1000000 times before. See that button up there labled "Search Y! Answers"? Use it.|||A GUN
