Why the horrible storms and loss of life in the American Southeast?

These storms seem to be effecting mainly the Bible Belt.





When the hurricane struck New Orleans some so-called "Christians" said it was because the "decadence" of the city and homosexuality.





So why is the pious "Bible Belt" under such siege?|||Because you touch yourself at night. xD





No but really, it's just nature. Christians are being idiots and trying to profit from every disaster saying it's a punishment.|||Most of the bible belt is also the tornado belt, neither hurricanes nor tornadoes are the wrath of God they are natural meteorological phenomena.





However those who believe storms and natural disasters are God's wrath against the sin of the region would simply argue that the storms were caused by God registering His love for mankind by punishing the sinners in that region, the ones that survived were clearly righteous and the ones who sinned must have done something wrong.





The vast majority of Christians don't view natural disasters as God's wrath by the way.|||Some places will have more of a bad thing as weather just due to location. I know you mentioned storms and hurricanes, take a look at a scripture that will explain what is going on and what is going to continue to happen in the future.
